D7: Endgame Farming Method - C14 Batch Farm. Infinite Gas, Gachaless HP/SP Extracts, Zero Gency Seal of Power, Trait Hunting, and More. Even DLC optional!

Disgaea 7

This method allows one to do quite a bit of the true endgame grinds all at once. Initial discovery was on the JP wiki, then put into "infinite" territory by space244, then further refined into WTF territory by our own Disgaea Discord.

In practice, you use Number Padding to turn in the Poltergas quests quickly and consistently due to treasure chests counting towards the quests. The initial discovery was to use the map 4-4, but we use a much better map: Carnage 14 (it has more units with higher levels and stats, and a far higher item rank). The map change makes Infernal Corrsion viable as a source of extracts due to the sheer amount of units killed.

This awards a metric ton of EXP/Mana juice, trillions of HL in just a few hours, allows to rapidly get dual innocents, and can even allow one to Trait Hunt in a few short minutes per attempt due to never running out of gas.

To have this work, we must clear the stage in one turn, and C14 does take quite a bit of prep to get the most out of it. You can use 4-4 quite a bit earlier but generally, you're doing this for the recently unsolved PvP.

The evilities and DI I use are what worked for me, there are plenty of other ways to get that lone unit in the corner.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Attackers required to be subclass mastered, supports units will find it nice, but don't strictly need it (prioritize Noble Cause and Dominant Smile).

Early runs have Cheat Shop set for Weapon Mastery and Skill EXP, can be swapped off when you want. Otherwise Cheat Shop set to what you want to farm.

War Lady (the Nyandroids) with 10m Base and 10m extract stats with the following:

Spell: Tera Wind with at least a range of 9
---------------------------
Treasure Hunt - primary
Run Them Down - primary

Angel/Nitra must be in Character Position #5
Suisen must be in Character Position #10
--------------------------
Cursed Dance - primary
Lovely Song - primary
--------------------------
Noble Cause - 4 (Opener)
Magnificent Cheer - 3 (Meiko)
Merciless Command - 3 (Opener)
Tactical Guidance - 2 (Suisen)
Cheerful Aura - 2 (Pirilika) optional on Angel/Nitra
Dominant Smile - 3 (DLC, Etna)
Joint Maneuvers - 4 (Nekomata)

Angel/Nitra D.I.
Ally Forces -> Nearest Unit -> wait -> wait -> wait -> Use Valkyrie Order

Tower D.I.
wait -> ally forces -> nearest unit -> Tower Climb

Suisen D.I
wait -> wait -> ally forces -> nearest unit -> Tower Climb

Melodia D.I. (Optional, only use as needed)(May need correcting)
ORDER OF ACTION 19 (must move after Suisen)
wait -> wait-> Panel (19,35) -> Move to target -> reset target -> allied forces -> lifted unit -> wait -> wait -> wait -> wait -> Use Passion Approach

Essentially, the above DI will place the War Lady into perfect Full Strike range, backpack all the supports onto the War Lady with Suisen at the top, Angel/Nitra uses Valkyrie Order on the War Lady, War Lady fires off four Full Strikes, Yeyasu kills the unit in the corner, then if anything is still alive, Melodia ReActions the War Lady that then fires off four more Full Strikes. If no Melodia, you will have to move the samurai killer to space 19, 35 and use a Maiko where the samurai killer usually is. If so, the killer won't benefit from some of the support tower, so be careful about this!

HOW TO USE THIS:

There are three primary rotations to do this: Small Batch, Seal Batch, and Quick Batch. These all utilize reset maps in order to refresh the quests. Reset maps include: c4-4, c4-5 (for Base Kill gacha points), c10-5, or whatever else works for you.

  • Small Batch is 1 DI, 18 AutoClears, 1 manual reset map. This gives 50M HP extract at 20 stars, and you can run 16 items in the research squad that you can pick up after three Batches. This method is gas positive in the long term (600 in, 610 out) at basic hunt and goes *quite* positive if you have Treasure Found x4.
  • Seal Batch is 1 DI, 28 AutoClears, then grabbing the items from the Research Squad and running their Item Gods *to completion* for Seal of Power for all eight items, finishing the item and making it eligible for the next Batch. This is always gas positive (203 in, 216 out) even at basic hunt. This makes Seal of Power not need gency! This method earns 75m HP extract per Batch, more if your SOSeal unit you're grinding for has room.
  • Quick Batch is 1 DI, 28 AutoClears, then 1 manual reset map. This is not gas positive, but is by far the quickest way to Trait Hunt and is useful for slowly bleeding the gas the other two earned out. This method earns 75m HP extract.

You can replace the manual reset map for an additional c14 DI clear if you're *really* lazy, but it will very slowly bleed gas in all Batches.

Small Batch And Quick Batch flow:

  1. Get Poltergas Quests
  2. Do batch on c14
  3. turn in quests
  4. do reset map
  5. After checking Innocent Farm and Research Squad, Repeat at 1

Seal Batch flow:

  1. Place 8 items in research squad
  2. Get quests
  3. Do Batch
  4. Turn in quests
  5. Do Seal grind to items, actually completing the item
  6. Reincarnate items, place in squad
  7. Repeat at 2

WHAT THIS GIVES YOU:

  • Extreme amounts of EXP/Mana juice if Cheat Shop is set for it.
  • Trillions of HL if set up for it, usually by replacing extract evilities. This can happen extremely quickly.
  • Quick and rapid Innocent Farm checks for dual-stat innocents.
  • Quick and rapid Trait Hunt for one to two groups of items, which allows you to have First Gen be the final product (so you can start with a trap and not an arcadia) and not waste time.
  • Enough Item Points you'll never use them all.
  • All of the extracts at speed comparable or beating gacha claim speed, especially on console.
  • A very good chunk of your Item Collection, for better or worse.

Is this all too late? Maybe. Can it be improved further? Probably. But if this helps even one more person break into PvP (which is again, back to being unsolved), then I'm happy.

WAIT, FOOD AND GENERATION HUNTING?

Right. When item reincarnating, consumables are a common option. A consumable has a tendency to reincarnate into more consumables. They can only roll Rare Traits. If you hit Reincarnate to First Gen, you reroll Rare Trait chances. It adds up.

Generation Hunting is that, once you have a trait you know you aren't getting rid of, you dupe the item seven more times and make it the new "base", then run those until the next one shows up. This only really works if the First Gen item is the final result. Stealing eight traps, for example, then running them all via Batching until Swing About shows up is viable.

BUT ITEM WORLD GIVES ME ENOUGH GAS.

Item world is also a blob of loading screens that, using these, will only need to happen when duping or perfecting the final item.

You can also just grab the quests, use all 300 gas on c14, and then claim the quests to start at 60 again, but get well over 750 million HP extract in less than 30 seconds. Then just start batching again...

Can confirm, this is the game changer that makes trait hunting on legendaries so much less painful than it already is.

I was the one who pointed out that rolling items as food was probably more efficient than rolling it as it's base item. I had noticed when I was rolling gencies and got swing that they never rolled common properties. When I learned this method generation hunting was the only technique at the time. I combined the two and eventually got swing about on a trap.

I can't confirm that rolling as food makes rares more common, but at least you have less commons cluttering up the item, and thus less work.

Thanks for this post

Sounds sick gotta try this out

Does anyone else have issue with the D.I. casting spells? Tera Wind just doesn't want to cast for me. I confirmed the range and SP needed are both good because I can cast it from that spot manually. They're also #6 in the group. If I switch the attack to a special it'll work fine too.

1
temporarytk•

If you're trying to cast the spell on a panel, don't. I find targeting panels works less than half the time, but switching the target to anything else usually works.

1
beeteebee•

Yeah I noticed that too, but even when targeting nearest enemy (and it's the only one left on the map) it won't work

1
Karura91•

did you manage to fix it? I have everything configured exactly like this but despite having a cast range of 10, Yeyasu won't cast Tera Wind, no matter what. Its preventing me from literally clearing the stage.

A lovely improvement to the 4-4 strat! This post was also a good reminder to me that you're able to remove items from the Item Research Squad before they're fully explored as long as you manually and individually check each item (I had only ever bothered with the 'claim every complete item' button).

Given that you're bifurcating the D.I. based on whether or not SP is full, is it fair to assume that you're requiring the 'Auto-Heal at Base' option to be On? I also wonder if using Spirit Gun (or INT+HIT Wickedhancements) and then Kill with Wind on supports would be worthwhile, for people without DLC... I would at least explicitly mention that 4-4 has 20 enemies, whereas Carnage 14 has 22 enemies blasted by the War Lady (who can then break chests) plus 1 more enemy (who likely isn't, since I think treasure chests never spawn on the same tile as the enemy and therefore the single-target Tera Wind wouldn't break it?), in order to make it more obvious that it's a strict improvement even before getting into the whole 'making extracts' thing.

I already used the 4-4 strat to get my first (no Swing About) spellcaster-focused equipment's properties and I'm halfway through its Kill Bonus grind so there's not much reason for me to really take advantage of this improved grind until I get the other half of my kills, but once that's done I'm looking forward to trying out this whole 'reincarnate stuff into consumables to only get legendary properties' thing (while logging every property I get, to get a vague estimate on each property's rarity).

Funnily enough, single target Tera Wind does follow the chest.

You can also make a DI to throw the lone unit into range.

1
OhGodShana•

It seems like you want a throw of 9 if you're throwing (and ideally teleporting movement). Also DI can't make sense of the evility that increases lift range by 1.

1
OhGodShana•

Unless I'm missing something shouldn't the SP check be for 100% or more? 100% or less should always be true.

1
masterageOP•

Whoops, fixing.

1
ShadyMage92•

I wonder if I'm doing something wrong here. I have the exact same set up listed here and the female gunner and female samurai keep surviving. The ones on 25, 30 and 28, 27 respectively.

1
ChibiNya•

How do you get multiple copies of Treasure Found on a piece of gear? Or 3-4 overall to do this? I think I have almost everything else but I dunno how to mess around with the items.

1
masterageOP•

Find it on an item, the duplicate the item 3 times, then just make it so that you have a weapon with it and three armor slots with it.

Pleinair's fun weapon is the earliest source, but low stats. It's why the first thing I'd trait hunt is Treasure Found on an emblem. While hunting you can add damage up stuff as you find it.

Basic hunt is just the Treasure Hunt primary evility, and it does work out here, it's just that Treasure Found on each of the items makes it more consistent and more positive.

1
ChibiNya•

Wait, duplicate? Let's say I find an armor with it. How am I cloning it?

1
Mastersord•

You go into item world on it and set it to mystery room route. From there, you look for a duplication room.

You may need to save and reload a bunch to do so.

1
ChibiNya•

Awesome. Thanks! I'll try this now. I see there's no way to transfer the trait to better equipment but should be able to manage this map regardless.

2
masterageOP•

In the item world, there are two shops that sell the item exactly as it was when you entered. All of the item levels, traits, and even what it was First Gen are copied.

1
Mastersord•

Please note on your F. Samurai Killer that you need to not only max out power and range on Tera Wind, but also max out skill Proficiency. This will increase your range

1
Mastersord•

I can run 20 carnage elixirs in 1-2 small batch runs (1 DI, 18 auto-clears, 1 reset map) but that with the research squad maxed with lvl 9999 units. I net about 5M item points per run. This is without Treasure Found on gear because I’m farming for that attribute.

1
xa44•

I just did 30 runs of the stage with treasure hunt and number padding and it got no were near enough kills to go infinite? I only got 1k

1
masterageOP•

it lists 1k, but doesn't actually show lower than that after reaching that point; 1.5k will be shown as 1k. The math does the following (and it always assumes the last +1 is a manually done reset map with no DI)

1+18+1 - its only positive after three 10k turn-ins, or 300 gas spent (to get 310 back). Treasure Found x4 makes it go positive sooner, as you can turn in the 10k after the 8th or 9th batch instead of the 10th. It does have a 30 gas "dip" at a point that is made up from the 10k.

1+28+8(Seal) is always positive. Kill the Item God and go through the gate to complete the item. You're aiming to get a 3k turnin every 2nd batch.

1+28+1 is never positive, but is a super slow bleed that can be made even slower with Treasure Found x4. You do this if you're trait hunting for the most part.

If you are doing *any* of the +1 maps with DI, it won't work. You can use 4-4 or 10-5 as the reset map to quickly still use number padding without supports to see if you can get an early quest complete.

1
Z3PH97•

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Melodia keeps moving back into the base panel for some reason and won't use her skill when I need her to.

1
ChibiNya•

How are you getting quadruple Full Strike with just 1 Valkyrie Order + Crumbling Body? That gets me 3, not 4. What am I missing?

1
masterageOP•

Run Them Down, for some bizarre reason, activates on chest generation.

1
ChibiNya•

Wow thanks! I haven't seen this because in my entire playthrough I haven't seen a single item with "Treasure Found" so I don't have access to chests...

1
masterageOP•

Its why this trick is mostly for endgame: two primary slots on a droid is postgame bill + (likely) normal Baal. Treasure *Hunt* comes from M.Thief primary, Treasure *Found* is a trait. Hunt is worth +30%, Found is worth up to +40%, and they can stack.

Meeting Pleinair in the IW three times will get you a armor-slot, guaranteed Treasure Found. If you have the stats necessary without equipment, you can just dupe it (its a normal item) a few times.

1
ChibiNya•

O_O! This Plenair thing you just mentioned is a game-changer. I am already farming this map in some limited capacity (13 stars) but was really missing the armor with treasure found. I should be able to manage without the stats I think. Thanks a lot again!
She's in a Mystery room right? Can use Mystery route + that evility that increases their odds.

1
ChibiNya•

Couldn't get this to work on carnage 14 for whatever reason. She's just doing 3 attacks, 2 if I don't cast Valkyrie's order (using just Treasure Hunt evility for now). And I made sure the final one generated a chest.

This is odd since I clearly remember this working in the Item World earlier to get an free hit...

1
ChibiNya•

Can you explain the "reincarnating into food" a bit better? It's worded weird.

So if I have a Legendary Trap or another good item, I max its level so it can be reincarnated then if I get an option for food I should reincarnate into that and it gets a new gold trait? Then how do I turn it back into a Trap again?

1
masterageOP•

Food/consumable items do not roll common traits, which makes it much less work (and less accident prone) to roll rare traits, which can spawn on any item and in food's case seemingly has a much more even distribution. Additionally, food likes reincarnating into other food, and even acts as an "elevator" of sorts allowing one to rapidly change item ranks, which is useful for some traits like Freezing.

That's where Reincarnate into First Generation comes in from the Item Point Enhancements. If the first gen is the final product, it can wander off as much as it wants and you'd always have the ability to get it back (if you start it as a trap, you can always make it a trap).

Re First Gen has another benefit: it rerolls rare traits entirely. If you had no rare traits added, you can reroll, with the only "cost" is losing the slot 3 option.

1
ChibiNya•

I've finally got this setup rolling and I reincarnated some Traps into consumables (and then keep reincarnating into more consumables) but I'm not really getting new rare traits as often as I'd like... You're right about no common traits tho.

The Item World research squad is as stacked as I can afford and they only get the items to to about level 110-120. Does that affect rare trait odds?

So far I've only rolled 1 "Treasure Found" lol...

1
masterageOP•

You can dupe that Treasure Found anyway.

There doesn't seem to be any correlation between item level and traits given.

Otherwise... yeah, the trait hunt is the painful part of the item building process. Which is why this method even exists, the primary purpose is to Trait Hunt far faster then IW running while allowing Reincanratw to First Gen to actually work, its just also following the disgaea tradition to minmax other aspects.

1
ChibiNya•

Yeah. I figured it out more by practicing a bit. Currently trying to dupe the one with treasure found. The dupe event is quite rare even with scouting mission and the item world squad but i will manage. Wondering whether to reset or just reincarnate after getting tu the final floor with no dupe.

Your guide has been extremely helpful in my adventure the last couple of weeks. Most useful reddit post yet for me hahaha.

I still don't know how you're supposed to defeat carnage Baal even with everything.... All 10 characters would need to be amazing and it's really hard to increase base stats after 21 million.

1
ChibiNya•

So what's the point of Prinny Hat? What am I supposed to combo it with?

1
masterageOP•

Dominant Smile on all the supports. It stacks with Noble Cause.

1
ChibiNya•

I see, cool. But wouldn't Prinny Squad save you 1 slot? I don't think even being leader of a big squad would be as much bonus as Convert Force. Then again maybe stats just hit the maximum so it's pointless then.

1
masterageOP•

You use Juror or Aid Squads for Hyperfocus, which is worth far, far more than one slot.

1
