I didn't say it was ground breaking in terms of altering viewing of any of the programs but if it is evident in all of those shows, it would be tied together. Even it is loosely and insignificant.
Nope, seeing as they exist in a our actual universe they would not be a unique intellectual property put into the show with forethought, merely a grounding into reality. I appreciate your initiation of debate but consider this:
Morley is a fictional cigarette organization that does not exist, so if a show is supporting products from this organization, they are adopting that they exist in the same universe as this product. Since these other shows used the same company, they are accepting this notion, even if it isn't relevant to plot or characters. It is just like how Weyland-Yutani Enterprise is evident in both the Alien movies and the Firefly universe, connecting them together. Perhaps time separates them but the universe itself is the same. This is the same principle. Morley is not behind aliens in X-files, Zombies in Walking Dead, or Vampires in Buffy but they are a product.
New Amsterdam used Morley cigarettes, and the main character of that show is immortal. So there is an immortal man somewhere in the Walking Dead universe.
I'm not sure when the show 24 takes place, but it appears as though it would take place somewhere in the early 2000s, and The Walking Dead appears to take place at around the same time, if not before (cell phones are nowhere to be found in TWD for example) so I'm not sure how both of those shows could take place in the same universe.
Morleys are also used in American Horror Story. From the Wikipedia article: "The theme of the first season, retroactively titled American Horror Story: Murder House, is infidelity.[2][3] The story takes place in 2011." Since TWD clearly takes place prior to 2011, how can both series be in the same universe?
Friends used the Morley prop as well. This means that either the entire cast of Friends is now dead, or desperately trying to survive. (This would actually make for a fucking hilarious TV show)
The Heroes series used the same prop, so prior to the infection/apocalypse, a group of people with super powers walked the earth. There is no mention of these superheroes in TWD.
Morleys are also used in Prison Break which appears to take place at roughly the same time as TWD, and features Sarah Wayne Callies in a major role. How is it possible for this woman to have two completely different identities in the same universe?
The Twilight Zone also featured Morleys, so everything that took place in that TV series (and there are some seriously weird things that happened on that show) should also be present in TWD if it's the same universe. Same goes for X-Files
It just doesn't work. These things can't all be in the same universe, because some of them contradict eachother.
It's just a recycled prop. Doesn't mean those things are tied together in any way.

So is The Walking Dead universe also tied to any universe where people drive Hyundais?
Is it also tied to any universe that features a Colt Python?
National Guard soldiers?
The CDC?

Hmm... Let's look deeper at that idea then:
