4090 FE - Has Anyone Recently Successfully Gone In Store and Ordered via SKU?

Question

Looks like things are getting even tighter and maybe Im just not going to get a 4090, let alone a 4090 FE.

But, has anyone in the last month or so successfully gone into BB and ordered the 4090 FE using the SKU?

Been reading older threads about using the app to find it listed at a store and calling that store or going in-person to order it and am wondering if this might be successful.

Why not go in person and try? You’ve already read on here that people have done it so what’s gonna be the difference in a response to a redundant post? Just go in person and find out.

I will, just wanted to guage any recent success. Seems latest success was months ago.

I’m in Canada and it was restocked twice in October. Was around for a few days each time, pulled the trigger the second time around because people were talking about how demand was gonna increase for 4090s but I’m not sure how it will affect restocks.

4090s are going for about 2 grand on eBay right now. I'm the USA.

Yeah, I know. I wont buy an AIB 4090, mostly because of asthetics and the increased cost isnt worth the marginal price difference to me. Hence, Im only looking at the FE. And if I cant get it soon, Ill just go with a 4080 and a 7900XTX.

In early January they are introducing the 4080 Super and others with new pricing. You may want to wait until then. Maybe get a better card for same or lower price than now.

In the UK, our only option for a FE is scan.co.uk

They only have one physical store in the country, so for the majority, going in person is not an option. ( yes I know the uk is small, compared to the USA and Canada, but you squeeze 75 million people into 1 tiny state and drive any distance and you’ll see traffic)

We have to order online and unless you are on the stock drops discord, by the time you get the official email notification they are in stock, they are gone.
