Why did they add additional spacing in the production tab? In midgame it often extends into the player overlay. Also it doesn't look better than the wol production tab. I don't know why they changed that.

Are the items in the new production tab clickable? If so, I can see why they would've added that spacing, it definitely makes it seem like buttons now.
I don't think the spacing does more good than bad. Who will click on the buttons just because the spacing is increased? I think more people will be annoyed because at minute 10 you cannot see what one player is building.

They are in WoL too.. Click them and they take you whatever you clicked. The spacing in between is far too much. A few pixels is all thats needed.
