If you really like Lies Of P bosses than you should play Kingdom Hearts

Hear me out. Kingdom Hearts isn’t a souls like but most games in the series are action rpgs and on the highest difficulty they can be quite challenging. Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind boss battles play out very similarly to Lies Of P boss battles, a lot of precise timing with blocking and dodging. In KH3 there’s even a degree of perfect parrying.

If you’re curious check out the Organization XII data battles in KH2 or 3 and you’ll see the similarities.

Honestly FF7R on Hard mode is the most fun I've had playing an ARPG before Lies of P came out. It's not quite soulslike levels of punishing since Hard is only available once you unlock chapter select, but the lack of healing items and no MP refill whatsoever mean you ARE quite resource starved, and some of the boss fights come close in difficulty (Hell House i'm looking at you).

Especially the Top Secret hard mode boss gauntlet, and of course Weiss. Quite technically demanding with a lot of precise dodging and counter timing.

Too bad it only unlocks after a normal mode playthrough.

Yes I love FF7R’s hard mode. Still need to battle the DLC boss

As someone who loves kh2s data org, I genuinely can't fathom what it is about kh3's data battles that people like. Kh2's bosses are very much about blocking, dodging, and counterattacking at the end of a bosses combo, comboing them either until or just before they hit their RV. Meanwhile 3's data battles, completely trial and error. If you want to find openings, you basically have to guess at them because the bosses only stop when you force your turn in to the middle of borderline unreactable combos you essentially have to memorize.

I’m not sure what you’re on about. KH3’s Data Battles play out exactly like KH2’s. Block/ Dodge the combo, then you have an opening and you retaliate until you hit the RV. Enemies are very obviously staggerable after a combo. With the exception of Saix in his moonlight rage stance.

The only issue I had with KH3’s data battles is when Sora, or the org member got backed up to a wall it caused some weird issues with the ai.
