MMO players tend to be conditioned to think that wasting their time is good. So the only thing going for pvp servers is high population. Half of those being undead rogues controlled by 40 year old obese balding dudes who have fun stealthing around to kill lower level players.

People treat MMOs like every moment has to maximize some reward. You may not like PvP or the way PvP changes how you interact with thx game. But many do. They aren't lying about how they feel.

No, there’s a difference between having your time wasted vs getting rewarded for your time, they are not the same thing. People going around backstabbing lower level players are wasting their time and their target’s, but they may get a slight satisfaction from knowing they wasted someone else’s time because they are just that sad.

PvP realms seem highly pointless to play on after playing decades of _actual_ open world pvp games with consequences like full loot etc. (Darkfall, Albion, Eve and so on).
WoW open world "pvp" seems like a joke, it's almost as if it's meant to lift the ego of some basement dwelling neckbeard as he ganks people 10 levels below him on a rogue and unironically considers himself to be a badass.
I've played retail on and off and if I want to pvp, i'll just go do another glad push in arena.
If I want to pvp in classic, I go queue for BG and farm my little heart out.
Not once I have considered world pvp that has 0 consequences or gains to be even worth my time.

To be fair Westfall is east of the middle of the map.
Kind of like how Southshore is on the northern shore of Baradin Bay.
South shore was part of Lorderon (now under city). Afaik it was named because of its position in relation to that.

like how the East Cost is actually the western shore of the Atlantic Ocean
Everything is east if you go far enough.
But it's west of the people who would name it.
