I feel bad for letting my roomates laugh get on my nerves so much

Support

His laugh is fine alone. but when he is sitting in his room lauging at videos or the show he is watching, he laughs at absolutely everything, and its loud too. somthing about this constant repettitive noise absolutely irritates me to no end, and I cant even bring it up because laughter is a normal thing. I love the guy to death but he has so many triggering sounds, with his loud eating, chewing on bottle caps, slurping on noodles, etc. I feel like I cant even say anything about it without offending him. I feel like there is so many triggers that if I got on him about too many of them it wouldn't go well.

advice?

Don’t feel bad. You can’t control this fucking evil disorder. I’d buy some good-quality noisecancelling headphones? Or just go out on long walks or out alone all day, then wear the headphones when you get home.

Yeah, just buy 3M construction quality earmuffs to block out all the sound and if he asks you why, it's an opportunity to share that you have a condition where you hear sounds differently than other people, and through no fault or intent of your roommate, sometimes there are sounds that trigger you.

If you can, move out.

I lived with a friend and his girlfriend. She chewed like a savage, and laughed so loud at everything he said. At the start it was adorable, then when I would be kept up at night and woken up early by this same laugh it was so uncomfortable.

Even more so because as you noted - laughter is a natural beautiful thing, and I didnt feel comfortable making her insecure about it.

I thought I was an asshole for getting so irritated by it, now looking back, I dont know how I didnt go absoultely fucking insane living there.

The most devilish thing aabout this disorder is that you tend get trigger from the people you love the most.
