Wait a minute I have seen this before....
Ah where is the warning about known issue saying multiplayer is broken?
Correct as is.
Better performance will be available as a purchaseable module in 2 weeks
There's an early access bundle with 50% more performance and a DDR5 RAM download.
Skill issue downloadmoreram.com has be around for a minute 😤
Can you provide a track file and open source documentation proving that it's broken?
“Nothing to see here, move along, working as intended”
Thread locked.
Sooo like usual it's just the current beta version, except this time they've pushed it to stable despite MP being frustratingly broken?
Someone tried to tell me, and many downvoted me, a while ago when I stated that stable was just old beta bugs. Felt like I was living in a different world
The simdads strike! Pretty sure most reasonable people who have been playing DCS for years (I've been playing for around 8) know that the """""stable""""" branch is just an older open beta.
I'm confused, what's broken about multiplayer? Is it a specific server or module, or all of it for everyone?
Everyone
2.9 introduced extremely bad network lag and desync (not a server specific issue as it's happening across the board). So to some players ground units will be alive, to others they will be dead, they'll shoot on one person's screen but not another's. Also the network lag gets so bad sometimes that you'll be in a high intensity dogfight just for all the players to freeze in place for 10 seconds and teleport somewhere else afterwards.
I do wonder what causes that. On Aerobatics Online I haven't noticed any difference even during formation flying
Hi, i experienced lags and desyncs since the end of october update in DCS mp.
After many evenings of checking and testing on my end i stumbled over a post of a reddit user who claimed his squadrons problems were gone after they disabled voice chat on their servers.
Our server admin disabled voice on our servers on my request yesterday and my lag spikes are gone.
Maybe it's worth a try.
In retrospect it all makes sense. End of Oktober ED introduced the updated voice chat.
Is this one of those times where ED redefine what "Stable" means? Multiplayer is anything but stable.
Well, it's called "Stable" so it probably has less bugs and runs better than "Open Beta", right? ...r-right?
You guys don’t get it. Stable is referred to the bug list. The beta gets all the new bugs, after all the bugs are found and reported, the bug list is “stable” and all the bugs can finally make be moved to the stable version, while the devs work on new bugs for the next beta. Stop hatin on ED.
It has more horses
So they broke stable too...
Should save this thread as one of the many examples of stable not meaning stable. Basically it's just open beta at a later stage. Might as well just have the open beta and stop this two version stuff if they aren't going to solve large bugs before pushing to stable.
Stable-ish
Hmmm
A lot of changes for the Stable.
I wonder how the horsies are feeling.
I'm confused, this is the patchnotes from the last update, no?
So stable I store all my horses in it but they died due to the roof falling down.
“If you can’t handle bugs switch to stable!”
Stable:
To be fair, they missed a pretty extensive list of irritating bugs that OpenBeta players had to deal with
