Intense pain on my left testicle
I've been dealing with mild testicular pain for around 3 years on my left testicle. At first I suspected a torsion or cancer so I went to a GP who referred me for an ultrasound, where they found a varicocele on the left side. They told me it's "nothing to worry about" and that was it. Since then, the pain comes and goes and it gets especially noticeable around winter for some reason (I guess maybe since the testicles retract intro the body, it's worse somehow).
I've set an appointment with an urologist for late January but it's frankly becoming hard to bear with. I read about mild or dull pain online but this got quite distracting and has impacted my mood quite a bit. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to get particularly better when laying down or anything -- although mild compression seems to help somewhat.
Has anyone dealt with similar issues? I keep thinking maybe it's something else since I have health anxiety

I got diagnosed with bilateral varicocele grade 1-2 last month. I guess it was there from many years but I only found out when it started paining. Doctor told me to wear scrotal support and take Daflon 500mg for 1 month. Pain situation is similar to yours. It has increased from slight discomfort to mild levels. I feel it increases when I lie down towards my right side. Really distracting and gives anxiety as I'm unmarried and also never had sex till now. Whenever the pain increases, the thought enters my mind that I won't be able to do it whenever the time comes. No problem in erection and libido as of now tho.
