Elemental Equilibrium
I see this keystone on the tree and it calls to me. What's wrong with it? Why aren't there many people using it?
If I have two different added elemental dmg how will EE affect it?

People use it, it's just build specific. If you use a multiple element skill, it will make a mess, it's meant for single element type skills alternating.
If you attack with a fire skill, it gives +25fire and -50cold/lightning If you attack with a cold+fire skill(that counts attacks which have +1-4cold from gear or auras), it will add +25fire/cold and only -50 to lightning If you attack with 3 elements, it gives +25 to everything.
The EE debuff is reapplied on every hit and last 5secs otherwise. It doesn't proc from your minions, but does proc from totems/traps/mines.
No, if you hit an enemy with all 3 elements the EE debuff doesn't apply
I considered grabbing this for my dual totem character but figured it would make things far too challenging then worth when deading in AOE and arc totems.
I tried to use it,
Elemental hit + EE and stacking 1 elemental dmg and elemental dmg from weapons %
but its really hard to only get 1 elental damage on all your gear.
The build is really viable, but really gear specific.
Here's another question, if an enemy is burning will they constantly be taking fire damage and so have increased fire resist?
Burning from the elemental status effect no but I think the burning damage from the fire trap counts as an actual hit so it should proc it.
The initial hit from fire trap is fire, but the fire patch on ground is a health degeneration effect that at no point counts as a hit and as a result never triggers EE.
Ok good to know.
The way I use EE is with me casting Arc and my flame totem constantly replacing my lightning resistance proc with the fire one. For me it's pretty good and the best part is that if I team up with a player using cold they only get -50% to the resistance which is pretty high.
Getting less resistances is most effective against a mob that already has high resistances, for example:
A mob with 75% resistance to a particular element only takes 25% or 1/4th of the incoming damage, if I then reduce this resistance with -50% it gets 25% resistance and thus takes 3/4th of the damage. The damage is thus 3 times as high. The closer to 100% the more effective EE is, at 99% the mob only takes 1/100th of the damage but with an EE debuff it only has 49% or takes 49/100th of the damage that is 49 times higher damage!
If you attack with two elements simultaneously it makes enemies resistant to both of those elements, so if you use it you have to make sure that your attacks never do more than one type of elemental damage at a time, which is a pretty big limitation. Also, it will screw up other people's damage in groups.
