Asus OLED PC monitor issue

Tech Support

I have a new OLED that came with a dark patch the size of a nickel. Luckily pixel cleaning resolved it. It reappears after having the monitor off for a day or so but it's not nearly as deep and will fade within a minute or two.

What is weird is that the patch contains what looks like semi dead sub pixels. They're very faint and only noticeable on full white. One seems totally dead, but yet on a full colour background (and I've tested quite a few colours using a YouTube video fullscreened), the subtle cluster of slightly discoloured pixels present on pure white dissappear, even the apparently dead one.

You have to zoom in to see them more clearly.

The clustering of them has me concerned, but the fact they basically disappear with colour has me confused.

I wonder if Asus would cover this with warranty? Even worth it?
