[1666]The Pernicious Back Rooms -- Surrealist Horror --
NO GORE. NO TRIGGERS.
Genre: Anti-horror
Hello.
How dare I say what I'm about to say--
^(Who do I think I am?)
If Franz Kafka died from an LSD overdose and took a wrong turn on the way to his afterlife. And if Kafka's spirit accidentally stumbled into inside of HP Lovecraft. And if Kafka got lost in there and gave up trying to find his way out of that maze. And if Kafka's spirit decided to stay there and spend his after life possessing Lovecraft...
This might be the type of story it would write.
It's a little strange and that's intentional. I think after the initial feeling of "WHa-?" it settles in and works. Ironically, at a glance you can say I messed up with tense and POV, but that's all intentional. I'm sure it needs revision, but even with the unsettling tension, it felt like it came out clean and clear on the first draft. I had a few squigglies from tired fingers, but yea. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!
