Hi! I'm looking for feedback for my fanfic. This is a sort of experiment in which I used the world of Atla as a basis to make original characters and an original story, which will later feature in my fantasy novel. 

I need suggestions from Atla fans on if it works in the canon, (even though I added some of my original concepts) and from readers who didn't watch the source material, to see if it works as a standalone story without any starting info of the series.

The main feedback I request is to know if it's this confusing, or engaging. Do you find the characters and the conflict interesting? Is the grammar right?
