2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, oil change, "okay now start the car and rev the engine", except the engine doesn't kick in when idle
So I got my oil changed again recently and the place I go to asked me to start the car and rev the engine after doing their thing. Probably to check and make sure nothing is leaking? Except I can put my foot through the floor pressing on the gas and nothing at all will happen. I also tried remote start to see if that could force the engine to start but that also did nothing. Probably because the engine was already hot.
My question is: do y'all know of a trick or something to force the engine to rev when at a standstill? The oil change folks don't seem to mind letting me drive off after putting in an honest effort to complete their process but it happens every time I come through.
Thank you for reading my post and any help you can provide.
