My store’s portable deli oil tank stinks

The deli has their oil tank and this little portable oil tank thing next to it in our OPD backroom (it’s a shared space at our store). Someone comes to change this deli thing daily, yet it still smells putrid almost all the time… it smells like someone missed the restroom and just pooped in the corner. Makes me disgusted to even think about eating anything from the deli after having to smell that thing. I know the deli lead doesn’t care how bad it smells bc they hate OPD, so I asked an associate over there “is there really nothing you can do about the smell of this thing?” And that associate just shrugged and told me no. I know the sarcastic yet real response should just be to “call the health department” but I don’t want to escalate it that severely. Does anyone think it would be worth my time to talk to the store lead/store manager about this? It’s a silly thing to complain about but it really does reek and I’m sick of having to smell it every day.
