Bar soap or shower gel for travelling?
Which one do you prefer in general and particularly for travelling?
I’m a bar soap person for life, I have very sensitive skin and wrong products that are too harsh cause eczema flare ups. I grew up having used soap over 90% of the time, so I have many brands that I know are safe for me to use and won’t dry out my skin and cause adverse reaction. Shower gels are way more drying for me, ones that are safe for eczema are too expensive, and experimenting with less expensive ones is not something that I’m too keen on since I can end up having to treat a flare up for weeks after only few uses of an unsuitable product.
However, travelling with a small bottle of shower gel seems much more convenient, because a bar of soap takes up more space in my bag—simply because all travel soap boxes I’ve ever seen or owned are made for full-size bars. I might just give up trying to save space in that particular case, or remedy this with substituting liquid shampoo and conditioner in bottles with pieces of solid ones shoved into my soapbox together with soap. Anyway, I have yet to come up with a better solution.
So, what’s your habit/preference here?
