Saw pictures of ornate colourful rugs online and decided I wanted to stitch something like that, so I [rather obsessively hyperfocused for days and] drew a pattern from scratch on FlossCross.

I’ll be starting stitching it soon, but I also want to share it with this wonderful community, so that anyone could stitch it if they like it. I have briefly thought about what if a pattern mill will steal my pattern and start selling it, but I’m not sure if that really is a possibility or I’m totally overthinking this.

Do you have any tips for me? Should I stitch it myself first to see if it looks good and upload a pattern afterwards?

I’ve been going to spiritual direction to this priest for 4 years now. I know him quite well and I believe we have built a good director/directee relationship. He’s a very good priest—orthodox, balanced, kind, prayerful and disciplined, he understands me very well and has always respected my boundaries.

Last time we met for spiritual direction somehow the topic of cardinal McCarrick came up. My spiritual father then proceeded to state very sternly how he is totally sure that McCarrick is innocent and is a victim of shady people in the Church plotting against him to bring him down because of his (at the time) influence, reach and holiness, apparently. I don’t quite know how to explain this well, so please bear with me.

I was telling my friend about new pyjamas I ordered and how there was this new fabric smell that hadn’t washed off in laundry. I can’t put my finger on what this smell is? Is it the smell of fabric itself because it was sealed in a plastic bag it came in? Or something that it was treated with during manufacturing process?

Do you notice the smell of fabric? Not the smell of detergent/perfume/BO or anything else, but the smell of fabric itself.

Just bought abyss shark on sale and I’m so bummed, it feels awful: slow, somehow doesn’t seem to actually open its mouth at all, gameplay was all laggy and it somehow couldn’t eat fishes I was literally bumping it into head first (I thought the game itself was lagging, quit, played with other sharks—everything was fine. Played abyss again and it sucks. Gosh, I had no idea. Totally regret spending gems on it.

Decided to marathon-rewatch, having last seen the show probably when I was 10 years old. I’m currently in season 4 and I’m getting a brain fart in regards to Cole: in one episode he’s arrested for speeding (?), Darryl lets him off, Cole says how he doesn’t have any ID since he’s a demon, in other episodes he states in passing how he’s unfamiliar with many things in human life.

My question is: are we ever given any information about his life before meeting the Halliwell sisters? He is living in a flat when he starts seeing Phoebe, wouldn’t he need an ID to rent one? How deep was he into living a human life as his cover? How did he even get to be a DA? Or is it just a plot hole?

I’ve used plastic ones for years, but now I’m kinda irrationally worried over microplastics and feel grossed out by mine and cannot drink from it (plus it feels like it has this faintest musty smell no matter how much I wash it and sanitise it; plus I don’t want to create tons of plastic waste by constantly buying and replacing poorly made things). I thought about getting a glass bottle, but that idea got me worried (also irrationally) as to what if a piece of glass somehow chips off and I ingest it while drinking my water. Stainless steel seems to be the best option, but I tried using a thermos instead of a water bottle and it made t

Accidentally washed a fleece jacket on a warmer cycle, and it shrunk somewhat, not significantly so, just slightly, so that it still fits me but is rather tight. Is it possible to stretch it out gently? Could hair conditioner hack work?
