Sarah J Maas Genre?

Just listening to A Court of Rose a Thorns and struggling with it - who is the target audience? It reads like a fey, wan, YA style story written in ‘why Mr Darcy, pray not that you look at my uncovered ankles’ style but with porn.

Not my cup of tea so far (understatement…)
