First date, got ghosted after
I met this guy at my internship (both interns and 22), we have been talking basically since the 1st week of work. We would take breaks together, go out to lunch, I would visit his cubicle and he would visit mine and it was fun and harmless. I asked if he liked me and he said he likes me but doesn’t have the courage to talk about it when sober, and I respect that. So fast forward we go on a date (this is my first date EVER), we get drinks and he payed which was so kind, and it was genuine conversation and not awkward. Then we went back to his place, watched a movie, and made out but he kept trying to put his hand down there and I rejected 3 times, and then he was done and told me he had to go to bed, walked me to my car and gave me a side hug. The next night arrives and I see him out at a bar, long story short I went home with him, which I probably should not have, we didn’t do anything that night but in the morning we made out again and did other things (not sex though) but he tried pulling my underwear down and I kept stopping him, so he did the same thing and said we had to get ready to go. And I even told him I was a virgin before the night prior so he knows this is all new to me. He drove me home and ever since then things have not been the same. How do I even approach him now? It’s been 3 weeks since this has happened and we don’t text anymore, and don’t talk in person. Do I continue giving him space or simply move on? I am so confused and upset because I genuinely liked him and I think the feelings were mutual but he wanted more physically but I am not ready for that. I think I did want to try dating him because we got along so well, but now I just feel like as soon as I rejected his advances, he has moved on.
