Loop earplugs; anyone have a review?
Hi! I’m wondering if any one here either has used Loops or know someone who has used Loops and could give an honest review. I think I’d use the Quiet Loops, or perhaps the Engage Loops. More info below if you like to know more about how/why I’d use them.
Working in retail is so very very very noisy, and while I’d love to pop on my over-ear headphones on and blast my own music thereby increasing my focus and also blocking any and all sound that isn’t desired…thats not going to happen. I might be able to get away with air-pods, but having the volume low enough to still hear my surroundings would just mean a mix of my music and outside noises, which would be more confusing and overloading for my senses and brain.
Therefore, I’m considering Loops; they would dampen sound while still allowing me to detect it; the crying of a baby in the next aisle over would be less overwhelming while I can still listen to the customer in front of me asking for help. I also need to wear a radio ear-piece on one ear, but it’s small and I can wear air-pods fine with the earpiece.
My workplace is fairly good when it comes to accommodating unique needs of it’s team members (within reason of course) so I’m not too worried about a supervisor stopping me wearing Loops because “they look too much like earphones” so long as its clear I can still hear. As for customers thinking I’m wearing earphones…I don’t care; I’m trying to manage my sensory needs while not completely shutting myself off…give me a break.
Thanks to anyone for reading this far and for replying if you have!
