Dealing with hair and helmets.

My hair is as long as ive ever had it, and I can play a little with it if I use a dryer. However, I go to college on bike or motorcycle, so the helmet almost always ruins it. Does anyone know how to make medium sized hair (before the uncomfortable phase, it currently looks like a helmet) more femenine?
