Coffee shop advertisement so obvious that it hurts

Right here we can see a 0 day old account that mentions the name of a big coffee chain in both the title and the "meme". Also the submission has a rather big amount of upvotes while having relatively few comments. Definately not a "Good Guy Greg".

Honestly this looks to me like someone who made a new account and decided that they should post their "best idea for a meme" on it. Look at the comments that dude made.

A spot on observation.

seriously, starbucks doesn't need reddit to succeed

No this is not obvious. The reason that starbucks is needed in the title and meme is because they use stupid names for the sizes to sound fancy. The joke wouldn't work if they didn't say which coffee shop it is.

This is paranoia. Certainly not obvious.

I agree with /user/iJubag

posted on thread explaining reasoning here: http://as.reddit.com/r/AdviceAnimals/comments/1fo3q4/good_guy_starbucks_employee/cacj91c

Those numbers aren't real, reddit don't show the real numbers to confuse bots. The only real number is the score, upvotes and downvotes aren't real.

You should adjust your post.

NOT r/hailcorporate

Inadvertent advertising belongs here along with deliberate shilling.

I'm not going to call out a guy for calling a dog that colour Oreo, especially when I've had a cat called Guinness :)

yes, that's why I went to the effort of checking, tagging and explaining my reasoning. It's still tagged, and implicitly pointed out as an inadvertent advertising. You can't yell at people for that, it'll only put their backs up and mean they discredit us in future. Far less people are sympathetic to astro-turfing, so we can afford to be more raah! in those situations.

I didn't say call out a person. You said it was not r/hailcorporate, but it is. There is a difference in calling out an advertisement and calling out a shill. It is still appropriate for here.

You are validating people's misconceptions about r/hailcorporate being an antagonistic sub. You make it seem as if this sub is about going after users for advertising with your comment in the offending post.

NOT r/hailcorporate

That statement is just plain wrong. It is most certainly material for r/hailcorporate.

good point. conceded and I've changed the post in the thread.
