[Feature idea] Self-post hover previews
Anyone who's gone anywhere near r/atheism in the last few days will probably know they've moved image posts into self-post only to try to prevent karma-whoring.
Of course this has the side-effect that it's much more difficult to preview images now, so I created a quick Greasemonkey script to search self-post content for image links and display them on mouse-over.
It would be much better if Reddit gave subs more control over whether self posts or link posts generated karma, but in lieu of that perhaps RES could add some preview capabilities for self-posts like this?

RES already lets you expand self-post text and images inline from a post listings page.. is your script cutting out the "expand self text" step? (I'm on my phone at the moment, sorry.)
The issue as I understand it is people want to browse the main page and see a thumbnail.
u/Jij has posted this script as well
