Getting boned by waiting period

So, I’m at the 10 business day waiting period for a lever gun that I purchased in Oregon. I called the store expecting to be able to pick up tomorrow or at least this weekend and get told they can’t release it to me for 30 days. I asked who I could call and they said the ATF. Anybody know what the hell is going on? I am getting my CCL renewed that lapsed a few months ago, but I thought that would help the background check part of the process go faster if it did anything at all. The day it’s released is the day I start my hunting trip that I bought it for… I already have hunting rifles I can use just pissed they’re stalling this for so long.
