Any tips for a new player?

So I’m a new player, well sort of I played for about a week 2 years ago but everyone I knew was playing cod or fortnite so it didn’t stick. Now my friends don’t really game anymore and my sister that I always play Fortnite with works a different shift than me so I’m going to try apex again. I’m still going to play Fortnite when my sister is home but that’s only like 1 day a week. And black ops 6 is just mind numbingly boring already.

The biggest issue I seem to have is just getting like totally caught while trying to move or rotate. My aim is meh, but that’ll take time to get down for the different guns and such, but it seems like everytime I move there is an enemy who has been waiting in the trenches for my first sign of weakness to pounce.

I’m looking for more generalized tips to playing, like what do you wish someone told you when you started playing?

Also please leave out the “just uninstall” “or don’t play is the best tip” I know the community likes to hate the game from lurking on the sub, but hating the game isn’t just an apex thing, every game I ever played community has been full of everyone saying they hate the game and talking about how the game is dead or dying.
