Software to pull colours out of multi-colour, place on own plate and then be able to glue in later?

Looking for whether or not there is software that will let me process a multi-colour model, extract the different coloured items, print them on their own plate and then allow me to glue them in after?

A local shop had a gentleman that was talking about Meshmixer and the ability to pull them out, but I'm having a problem finding that functionality.

Has anyone seen this?
