Honeymoon Advice (July)

Itinerary

Getting married (both 30) in Tuscany this Summer with the honeymoon right after, and wanted some advice on our itinerary (total ~3wks). Starting to get worried about Jubilee and summer crowd/heat timing, but can't change that now so just trying to make it work and avoid worst of it.

Generally, we prefer to avoid the big cities and enjoy walking around smaller/medium-sized ones and visiting more nature-focused locations (we'll still hit the big cities, but quickly and with a more packed agenda just to hit the "must-sees"). Flying into Florence, out of Rome.

Any and all advice/suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!

6/22-6/26: Florence - maybe a day trip somewhere, but this is before the wedding, so planning to keep it relatively light

6/27-6/30: Tuscan Villa (small town) - wedding activities

7/1-7/3: Verona or Venice - taking the train from Florence, [thoughts on which?]

7/4-7/10: Dolomites + Lake Garda - we'll rent a car in either Venice/Verona [thoughts on best towns along the Dolomites? not planning major hiking but we both enjoy 5-7mile "walks"], figured Lake Como was more out of the way and crowded. We'll drive back to Verona/Venice and take the train to the next location.

7/11-7/14: Cinque Terre - [need the most help here.. ideally we would've flown down to Amalfi Coast, but fear south will be too hot and Amalfi too crowded.] We just want something scenic, coastal, and relatively easy to get to given the rest of our locations. Train to Rome from this location.

7/15-7/16: Rome - in and out, plan to hit the must-do's, but know it'll be crazy so not spending much time here.
