Where can I find certain parts? Should I change my plan?

Happy Friday folks - I have a prebuilt HP Omen 45L with an i7 12700k and a 4070. I think the build has been serving me well, but I’d like to upgrade from my OEM motherboard to one that would support a X3D processor.

But wow. I cannot find them anywhere. Do I just go for a higher end processor and pay more? Wait for one to become available? Just wait for another series to drop?

I’m looking to upgrade to at least a 1000w PSU (no problem), a new motherboard (no problem), but the awesome X3D processors have been scalped to hell, as I’m sure the new 50-series GPUs will be.

Just wondering what I should do. I play milsims like Squad and HLL (I know they’re poorly optimized. I have some cash that I would like to spend on this build).

Kinda stuck and would like some advice from the experts on this sub. Looking for advice, comments, anything.
