Buying a house is increasingly out of reach. Relationships are impossible. Record inflation. Broken economy. Skyrocketing tuition.

Is there legitimately anything good for Zoomers to look forward to in life?

If you ask AI, it’ll tell fables of the silver tsunami (which won’t happen), or the accessibility of online brokerages (so we can invest the worthless currency that we don’t have).

I guess I have a problem doom-thinking. It just seems like the basic necessities are becoming impossible for Gen Z, Millenials etc.

Hi everyone. I’m 27M and feeling really stuck, emotionally. I don’t have many people to talk to about this, so I hope it’s okay to share here.

On paper, I’m doing well. I have a solid career, I’m educated, fit, and I’ve been told I’m attractive. Women often compliment me or approach me, flirt with me, and I’ve dated across a wide range, different ages, careers, personalities. But none of these relationships seem to go anywhere meaningful, and it’s starting to really hurt. I’m not looking for hookups or flings. I genuinely want to connect with someone, build something lasting, a wife, a family. But it feels like I’m always starting over, and I’m left wondering what’s wrong with me.

I’ve recently been accepted into a top graduate school (Carnegie Mellon) with a 50% scholarship to attend, part time while I continue to work full time.

I am able to pay for the program in full with cash avoiding new debt - I still owe on my undergrad which I graduated 5 years ago with.

My employer will help pay for some, but not much.

Debt: 70k at 3.5% interest Savings: 61k Masters program cost: 45k Age: 27 Yearly salary: 47k

Do I pay for cash, depleting most of my savings for a masters from a top school with positive ROI potential?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently exploring MBA programs as I’m looking to make a career transition. My background is in environmental studies, and I’ve spent the past 5 years working in fieldwork and environmental planning. While my undergraduate degree is in the humanities, I’m now preparing to take the GRE/GMAT (shooting for the highest grade possible) and am wondering how nontraditional or non-quant applicants are typically viewed by admissions committees. I’ve had a fairly successful career in the environmental world, but am ready to make a switch.

I’ve reached out to admissions and asked to set up an on-site meeting to learn more about the programs and how to put together a strong applica

Hi all, I am in the process of applying to the CMU MPM program, part time while working full time. Could anyone speak more on this program? I am looking for a career pivot, and the Heinz College has decent scholarships which I qualify for. Just looking for more information, experiences, industries which you work, etc.

Happy Friday folks - I have a prebuilt HP Omen 45L with an i7 12700k and a 4070. I think the build has been serving me well, but I’d like to upgrade from my OEM motherboard to one that would support a X3D processor.

But wow. I cannot find them anywhere. Do I just go for a higher end processor and pay more? Wait for one to become available? Just wait for another series to drop?

I’m looking to upgrade to at least a 1000w PSU (no problem), a new motherboard (no problem), but the awesome X3D processors have been scalped to hell, as I’m sure the new 50-series GPUs will be.

Just wondering what I should do. I play milsims like Squad and HLL (I know they’re poorly optimized. I have some cash

Hi all, I am considering getting an Ultra 2 and I am trying to decide on a band.

I’d like to hear from you - what kind of band do you have and why do you like it?

I am considering getting the titanium band or the trail loop. I’ll be using the watch for work, weight training, and some light biking and outdoors.

What do we think? Thank you

I am a prospect law student and I read that in August 2024 they are reducing the amount of logic games in the new LSAT. That being said what should I use to study? I wanted to buy the power scores trilogy but it was updated in April 2024 before the change

Hi everyone, I would like some guidance on my current situation, and would greatly appreciate any advice!

I am 26y/o, graduated four years ago with a B.A. in environmental studies and history. I greatly enjoyed both subjects and am very glad I studied what I did. I graduated with a modest GPA from a respected liberal arts school. The program has afforded me worlds of opportunity, and am currently working at a metropolitan planning organization, which I enjoy. I have no plans of quitting my job at all. I owe on my degree, but from meticulous saving, planning, and investing, I have a positive net worth and good credit score.

With that said, law school. I very much enjoy civics, municipal an
