How do I remove brass table alignment pins that aren't aligned?

Help

I'm building an extension dining table and although my main halves of the table are aligned properly, somehow my extension leaf pins are off just a millimeter or so and thus my pins aren't going to work.

I've tried removing with vice grips, but can't barely wiggle them out before the vice grips slip off.

Do I saw them off and then drill into the remaining brass (can I even drill into brass?). Then refill with a wooden dowel and glue to try again?

These are the pins I used... https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/hardware/table-hardware/connectors-and-fasteners/40145-table-leaf-alignment-pins?item=00S1006

Would a hole saw be of any value?

Any advice would be appreciated!
