From not able to accomplish anything to not skipping a single day of my routine
During the pandemic 2020-2022, I found myself stuck in a cycle of playing video games and watching anime all day. I wasn't able to do anything even if I want to. My sleep schedule was completely off, I slept at 3am and woke up at 5pm. I skipped most of my classes even they were held online. I wanted to do something about it. I decided go to the gym 5 days a week, 2 hours per day. It was good for the first week, and then the next week I skipped some days, then gradually went back to the loop again. I was completely lost and unmotivated.
Here’s how I turned it around:
- I realized that: The big goal felt too far away from me and daunting.
- Start small: Instead of two hours, I committed to just 30 minutes at the gym, 3 days a week.
- Gradual increase tolerance: As I became comfortable, I increased my time to 45 minutes and added another day.
This approach helped me build momentum without feeling overwhelmed. Now, I'm proud to say I've maintained my routine for 189 days straight, not skipping a single day.
I hope my experience can help someone who are struggling now.
