Why are people so against a Combo Button?

like the title says why are so many people against it? most of the time the typical response I hear is that people don't like it cause it dumbs the game down or over simplifies it.

my personal Opinion on that is that people have to be grossly exaggerating that because hitting your 1-2-3 basic combo does not require a College degree also the fundamental way PC players go about setting up a hot bar is vastly different from how a Controller player has to do their hot bar.

Controller players are forced to use the Cross/X bar thing to even be slightly proficient without mods by the time you actually get a functioning bar together to take into high end raids it feels more like a bop it that any wrong combination of buttons will bring up the wrong thing an cost you valuable seconds. I challenge PC players to play strictly with a controller for 1 week with no mods like the Dalamud combo button an say the game needs more buttons without a solution to the bloat, we are not the same playing on Controller feels like playing on Dark souls mode.

I didn't write this with the intent to piss anyone off or throw shade but to just get people's general feedback cause all I would like personally is for SE to just take the Dalamud combo button thing an just make it an optional feature for everyone to either use or not use at our discretion after all they sort of do this with those actions that change mid fight when conditions are met already.
