About PCIe Slots For Latest Motherboards

I'm in the process of building a new computer. I'm going to install a PCIe sound card with a gpu that will take up about 3 slots. Most of the last generation motherboards have 2 or 3 PCIe slots.

Here it is stated that on the z790 Aero G motherboard, due to the position of the PCIe slot, it is possible to install cards other than the gpu. Which last generation motherboards can I use similar to this example, regardless of Amd or Intel?
