Sudden behavioural change

2 years and 6 months old female cat, spayed, usually fine sleeping or playing in my room since she was spayed now constantly sitting and meowing at my door to get in and out while staring at me, also had a weird moment with food I gave her. Also seems to be grooming a lot more than normal all over her body and won't sleep until totally exhausted for the day. Her tail is flicking back and forth constantly as well all while staring at me. Other than that she's eating, drinking, using the litter tray (I think, its hooded and hidden in the corner, I have two cats), she's really only just meowing at the door and seemingly trying to avoid laying down.

Is this a normal change at this time or year, is she just bored, energetic, hormonal? Worried that its indicative of some medical issue as she has usually been fine resting, playing, or sleeping in my room.
