Xtreme 3 stopped charging, reseated blue edged white 20-pin ribbon cable behind right radiator
Household is rough with the Xtreme 3 purchased in June 2022. I'm sure it was dropped within the past week, as zero ability to charge yesterday. Tasked with fixing this shit up and getting tunes to the fire pit, quickly found [this very helpful r/JBL thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/JBL/comments/1djp01e/jbl_xtreme_3_speaker_wont_charge_i_may_have_found/) Got lucky and took the right radiator off first (4 screws) and saw the blue edged ribbon cable detached from the less than rugged connector. There is a small lockdown bar on the connector to lower after reseating. Charges fully again.
I saw in the complete teardown YT video mentioned in the thread above, the connectors and mainboard look different than ours, as well as a few subtle differences in the case design. There is a date seen on board @ 9:12 that shows 2020.08.24. I assume a revision at some point in design, didn't think to look for date or other markings, just wanted to get it back together, the YT teardown was unnerving: parts cracking and flying everywhere for a straight 10 minutes LOL
Carefully pry upper clamshell open with wide flathead or spudger
'Unpop' the plastic guides... not destructive
Unscrew x2 to detach lower clamshell, continue to pry shell and unpop
Unscrew x4 to detach right radiator
IF you see the unplugged blue ribbon cable, carefully reseat the cable and lower the tiny cheap lockdown bar. Check for charging ability at this point. If it looks plugged in, then it MAY still need reseating... or there is OTHER issue, good luck.
Reverse the clamshell process, making sure to 'pop' the lower clamshell plastic guides BEFORE you 2x screw back in.
