Ready to date again, don't know how to meet new girls.

I (21) am a senior in college in a pretty small town and I'm an athlete at this small university. I haven't thought about dating in a long time because I got really messed up from a few of my ex's about 3-4 years ago, but I'm ready to try and get myself out there. The problem is I'm pretty busy and i prefer nights in most of the time, so I don't go out to drink with my friends a lot/ in large public settings. And even when I have in the past, talking to girls never seems to go my way. I'm 6 feet tall, definitely not social awkward, I'm not the most attractive guy but I am a decent 6, and I've shot my shot with a good amount of women in these past few months and had no luck. (Tinder is garbage as well) So I just genuinely want to know how guys my age get into the dating scene and do well. Do I need to go out more, dm more girls, work on my appearance? Honestly anything would help cause I just want to love someone again. (Idk if yall wanna see what I look like so if yall want my ig lmk in the replies.)
