I really thought cutting diet and zero soda was going to be much harder.

Strict Carnivore Diet (No Plant Food & Drinks posts)

Hello! I've been lurking here for a month or two and this is my first post. I started Carnivore on Friday. That makes this day 6. It's been a lot easier than when I did Keto a few years ago. One thing I was worried about was Diet Coke and Pepsi Zero. I read some things that suggested a slow transition, basically because with everything that your body is going through with the elimination of carbs, caffeine withdrawal headaches on top of it all might be a little much. SO, I've been cutting back. I don't want to admit how much i was consuming before. But my plan was to limit it to one a day during week one. One every other day in week two. One every three days in week three and then stop. Well guess what, ALREADY, it tastes gross. I don't want it. I just tossed a 3/4 full 20oz bottle that I opened this morning and filled up my water bottle instead. I'm so excited for how life changing this could be.

(About me - Overweight. Very. 435. Been losing and gaining for years. I'm 43. It's going to be a tough road, but it's going to be even tougher if I wait another ten years, and it's going to be even tougher if I never get it off. So NOW is the time. This is it. Can't wait to comment on this post in a year with insane before and after pics.)
