Convinced that my neighbour just doesn't want me here.

Venting

I made a post a few days ago talking about getting security sent to my unit for the crime of existing. Here's the post if you want some backstory.

Despite also hearing bumps and jumps in the night, I'm willing to co-operate even though I know I'm not in the wrong. I've sent back a response to the building's management and have tried to make accommodations. I've laid out a carpet and permanently tiptoe at all hours, I don't bathe or cook after 8pm, so if I don't get a chance during the day I wait until the next. I don't even flush the toilet after quiet hours. absolutely disgusting, but I really don't want any trouble, because I got flagged for "excessive cleaning".

Ever since the noise complaint, I've heard someone slam down on my gate super loudly almost every morning. For context, each apartment has an extra gate outside the door for added security, but I haven't seen anybody keep it locked. These gates are extremely loud when slammed, so I'd be able to hear if it was happening to my neighbours as well, but nope, just me. I'm the only person on my floor that keeps their gate locked because of this. (I have half a mind to wake up early and hide outside my apartment to see who's responsible but I'm scared haha)

Just yesterday I hopped on a voice call with one of my friends at 3pm. I'm talking normally, no shouting or yelling because obviously, I don't want to get another complaint. A few minutes later I hear one of my neighbours start slamming their windows open and closed like a maniac. Part of me feels like maybe I'm reading too much into this, but the other half is starting to get seriously irritated.

I was initially working up the nerve to talk to my neighbours and apologise for any noise caused if I was truly walking too loudly, but this is crazy. I can't even talk to my friends at a reasonable hour, at a reasonable volume, on a weekend?

I just recently received a response back from management telling me that my unit is the only one getting complaints and if I can identify where the jumping sounds are coming from. I hate conflict to my core and my mental health is not in a place to deal with obviously unfriendly neighbours.

I'm gonna tell management that I have no idea where the noise is coming from, that I've been compliant as I possibly can be but I'll try to be even more cautious moving forward and hopefully that ends this once and for all. If my neighbour keeps being an ass I'll do a formal report, but right now I just want to live normally again.

tl;dr: moved into a new place, month goes by and I get a noise complaint over various things like "jumping and cleaning too much", which I don't think I was responsible for. I've disputed it, but changed everything from the way I walk to when I flush my toilet to avoid further complaints. I've since had my gate slammed every morning and a neighbour slam on their windows when they can hear me talk to friends during the day. Generally feeling pretty unwelcome and just want to be left alone lol.
