How to properly care for a kitten?
Hello all, the cat distribution system blessed me with a little kitten (me and my parents took him after nearly being run over by cars). We went to the vet with him unfortunately due to the late hour (about 11:30 pm) the pharmacy wasn't open anymore so they could only do a check up. Vet says he's fine, looking healthy. I put him in a large cardboard box with a little makeshift litter box, a food bowl and water. He drank water and peed in the litter box, didn't touch the food yet (he ate earlier while trying to lure him with food). My question is: he's meowing incessantly and trying to escape the box, how can I calm him down? I don't have any stuffed animals to give him... I just moved in this apartment myself last week. I know he is fine, however my heart breaks hearing him meow like that. The box is in my room however I don't want him wandering around the house yet. How do I proceed from here? Do I just let him tire himself out meowing?
Thank you all for your help:)
