Looking at the best linen duvet covers (any recommendations)?

My bed is my happy place, and I'm all about getting the best sheets, duvets, and pillows to make my sleep as relaxing as possible. I want to feel like royalty when I snuggle in at night, okay?! Anyway, I recently made the switch from cotton to linen duvet covers, and it has really helped me stay cool and comfortable at night. I am a linen convert, and I am on the hunt for the best linen duvet cover (I get too excited when I get a fresh set for my bed, I think I need an actual hobby or something).

I have tried a few, which I will list and share my thoughts on. And, I will list a few that I have my eyes on, too, in the hope that you sleepy folks will give me feedback on. Sounds good? Let’s kick our deep dive into linen duvets off!

Quince European linen duvet cover

The first linen duvet cover I got was this one by Quince. I liked the reviews and the price, so I went ahead and ordered the solid terracotta set. I love the range of colors you can buy with this one; they are all so earthy and rich. I have a king-sized bed, so I ordered the king set. And, it was kind of too big for my bed? I put it on and it was baggy over my mattress and on my duvet, which annoyed me.

But these sheets feel amazing to sleep in. I slept with these sheets for a few weeks, and I didn’t get too hot or too cold in them. I tend to sleep hot, so they definitely did the job when it comes to keeping me cool and comfortable. They were a little tough and coarse when they first arrived, but after a few washes, they softened up.

Parachute linen duvet set

I am a sensitive sleeper, and I honestly couldn’t deal with the bagginess of the Quince sheets. I would spend half an hour every night before going to sleep, shaking it out and trying to get it right. I feel like some people are sensitive to this kind of stuff, and some people aren’t. So yeah, it may not even be an issue for you.

Anyway, I decided to get some linen sheets and a duvet cover from Parachute because I have seen a lot of good reviews of these. They were a bit more expensive than the Quince sheets, but honestly, sleep is super important, so I don’t mind splashing out a bit. I got the cute mustard color and bought the bottom sheet, too.

The duvet cover is beautiful and I was pretty impressed by the sheets. They feel so luxurious, fit my bed perfectly, and keep me super cool and cozy. It feels thicker and more sturdy than the Quince set, but still allows me to properly snuggle in without worrying about getting too hot. I just didn’t really feel too hot in these, but still could wrap them around me like a little cocoon. They were softer from the get-go, but are still softening up with every wash, and they have a lovely lived-in but luxurious look.

Other linen duvet covers to try? Need some more recommendations too!

I do love my Parachute set, but I'm open to trying out new products to find the perfect one. I am going to be honest with you, I am a bit of a maximalist, and before I went to linen, all my duvet covers were bright, patterned, and OTT. However, I can’t really find any linen sheets in the patterns I like. I do like the earthy colors of the Parachute and Quince sets, but they aren’t really me, if that makes sense. So, I am now looking for a high quality linen duvet set that has fun patterns.

Here are some companies that I have found that have linen sets that are patterned:

Piglet in Bed: This company has some really cute, cottagecore-esque duvet sets, which I quite like. I love the gingham vibe of these and how the company is very on it when it comes to sustainability and such. They are pretty expensive, but will it be worth it? Let me know if you have experiences with this company!

Magic Linen: I am a sucker for a floral print, and this company has some really cute linen duvet sets with flowers on them. The duvet covers from here are also pretty affordable, which makes me very tempted.

The Modern Dane: I have my eyes on the bird set from the Modern Dane. Super cute. But I haven’t seen many reviews of this company outside of their website, so I am pretty hesitant. They claim to be organic and sustainable - all the good stuff! So, yeah, has anyone bought from here before?

That's it from me! Please drop your comments and thoughts below, especially regarding linen duvet covers that give maximalist vibes! I need to find my perfect match.
