After years of chasing better sleep (and being that person in the group chat who gets all the “which mattress should I buy?” messages), I finally made it a mission to actually invest in my sleep, and help others get the bestest sleep too, which is why I love being here!

I’m a side sleeper, I sleep hot, and I’ve tried more beds than I care to admit, but two brands I keep circling back to are Casper and Bear.

Casper’s the OG bed-in-a-box name you probably already know. Bear’s less flashy but markets itself to recovery, cooling, and serious support. I’ve slept on multiple models from both, so here’s the breakdown of how they actually compare for you.

Let’s get into it.

**1. Best for ever

Look, I’m not professing to be the final word on mattress hunting, but I’ve had my fair share of mattresses, and being the fussy (and strong-headed) person I am, I've got loads of experience and even more opinions.

Backstory (skip to the good part if you want this is just some context): I got sucked in by sales speak many years ago and bought a suuuuper firm mattress. It’s also what I thought I wanted so I can’t fully blame the salesperson. Long story short I needed to upgrade from glorified padded plank to something that offered me support but was firm enough for a side sleeper. I looked into a few options and it started me down a rabbit hole of mattress testing.

Which is just another r

Let me know if this sounds familiar: you’ve recently had to buy a new mattress, and you’re stuck between Nectar and DreamCloud, which are technically “sister brands” from the same parent company. Sounds simple, right? Just two versions of the same mattress?

Nope. Not even close.

Technically, you could try both because they each have a year-long trial and lifetime warranty, which is kind of the sleep equivalent of “buy now, return in 364 days if your back still hates you.”

But if that’s too much effort and you’re eyeing these two, here’s the lowdown.

Quick differences: how they feel, what they cost, and why it matters

At a glance, these two look like they’re built from the same start

If you're looking for a decent pressure relief mattress, I got you. I've tested a few, looked into a few more and am here to help your aching muscles find the best mattress relief.

Not all mattresses that are advertised as pressure relief live up to the hype.

Here is a quick breakdown of the best pressure-relief beds that still impress me, including three stand-outs.

What counts as "pressure-relief?"

A true pressure-relief mattress redistributes your weight so bony bits (hips, shoulders, knees) don't bottom out. Usually, that means:

  • Adaptive foams (memory, poly AirFoam, copper-gel, etc.)
  • Zoned or pocketed coils that give more under the shoulders and stay firmer at the lumbar

I thought I’d do a Leesa vs. Casper brand comparison since I’ve been seeing a lot of ads that got me thinking about how they’re different (and the same!). Both brands have a good range for different needs, but I like the way some of Leesa’s options are set up to allow for different combinations of upgrades and firmness levels.

What to know about the Leesa brand:

  • Limited lifetime warranty
  • They’ll deliver your mattress, set it up, and haul your old one away.
  • They have everything from basic, crowd-pleasing mattresses to more luxurious ones, plus kids’ mattresses, mattresses designed for plus-size bodies, cooling mattresses, and natural latex mattresses.
  • They offer foam-only and hy

Shopping for a latex mattress can get confusing fast, especially when you start seeing all kinds of certifications being thrown around. Some of them actually mean something, while others are more about marketing. I put this list together that explains what some of these certifications mean. Feel free to tell me what should be added or if I missed anything important.

GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard)

This is the gold standard for certified organic latex. GOLS ensures the latex is made from at least 95% certified organic raw materials, with no synthetic fillers or harmful chemicals. It also verifies sustainable farming practices and safe working conditions throughout the production ch

Hello everyone! Last week, I took one of my kitties for her annual check-up at the vets. While waiting to be seen, I was having a lot of fun listening to the names being called out. There were three black kittens waiting, and when the nurse called for Sabrina, Scream, and Salem, I had to smile.

Anyway, it got me thinking about funny cat names and other great names I have heard. I am a gamer and play The Sims a lot, and every time I bump into Mayor Whiskers (a stray cat wearing a top hat), I have to adopt him. Mayor Whiskers! What a name.

So, I invite you to share the best funny cat names you have heard (or thought of).

I will kick things off. Let’s start punny:

  • Napawleon
  • The Great

I have had cats all my life, so I have spent too many hours bent over a litter tray, cleaning it out, and tidying up after my furry friends. You could say I am a cat poo expert (but please don’t, because that would make me question my life choices…)

Anyway, today I want to talk about the dos and don’ts of disposing of cat litter and give you tips on how to be environmentally conscious and clean when doing so! Cleaning out your kitty's litter tray is super time-consuming and not the most pleasant of experiences. So, how can you make the process the best it can be?

Your choice of box and litter

The litter and box you use impact how you can dispose of cat litter and how often you need to

Hey guys! As the temp heats up, I’m on the lookout for the coolest, comfiest sheets out there. In my research, percale was mentioned as a good option for sweaty sleepers like myself, and Parachute kept coming up as a good brand.

So, thought it was time to level up my sheet game and give these a try. I got myself a set at $259. And here’s what I think.

TL;DR: As a person who’s exceptionally sensitive to fabrics, I wasn’t crazy about the sheets on night one. They’re crisp and starchy rather than smooth and silky. But the longer I used them, the more they grew on me. Overall, they’re the coolest sheets I’ve ever used and I will be sleeping in them again.

My bed is my happy place, and I'm all about getting the best sheets, duvets, and pillows to make my sleep as relaxing as possible. I want to feel like royalty when I snuggle in at night, okay?! Anyway, I recently made the switch from cotton to linen duvet covers, and it has really helped me stay cool and comfortable at night. I am a linen convert, and I am on the hunt for the best linen duvet cover (I get too excited when I get a fresh set for my bed, I think I need an actual hobby or something).

I have tried a few, which I will list and share my thoughts on. And, I will list a few that I have my eyes on, too, in the hope that you sleepy folks will give me feedback on. Sounds good? Let’s k

Alright hair loss crew, let's settle this debate once and for all: Happy Head or Keeps?

They're both popular choices but if you're choosing between them you need to do your homework and decide on what actually matters. Luckily, we took a closer look at both to help you decide.

Treatment customization:

Keeps: This platform focuses on keeping hair loss solutions simple. It offers products like foams and solutions containing standard hair regrowth ingredients like minoxidil and finasteride. That means there's no real way to tweak your hair loss treatment, but products are clearly labeled so at least you know what you're getting.

Happy Head: These guys are pretty much all about persona

We love the Dyson Airwrap vibe: curling, smoothing, drying, less heat... good hair days a plenty. Awesome. But, we don't love the price, and surely there has to be some better, more affordable, Dyson Airwrap dupes that we might love just as much.

Our hair tester team has been on the hunt, test-driving some multi-stylers on all types of hair, even some of us with 3B curls.

TL:DR: we narrowed down the list to these five that we actually love, and can tame our tresses just as well:

Ella Bella 6-in-1 Ionic Styler – My top pick. Dual barrels auto-wrap like Dyson, plus a diffuser for curl days. Cut diffusing time to 22 min and costs under $200.

Shark FlexStyle – Digital motor + temp sensor;

We’ve been on a bit of a hair dryer testing kick lately, partly because our old ones kept dying, and partly because we needed something that could work across a couple different hair types of hair. Between curly (3B), wavy, and straight styles, it’s been a bit of a trial-and-error situation.

We handed off a few dryers to different testers with different hair needs and here’s what made it through the gauntlet as some of our current faves:

Ella Bella Ionic Pro – Fastest diffusing time (curls dry in, like, 18 min). Comes with a legit bowl diffuser and you can switch the ions on/off for volume. This is perfect if you have a multi-user household with different hair types.

I am a self-proclaimed helicopter parent who researches every product before bringing it into my home. My kitties are my children, and I let them on all the surfaces (judge me, I don’t care), so I always have to make sure I get cleaning products that are safe for them.

There are so many cleaning products that are potentially harmful to cats. And, as cats are constantly licking themselves, anything on their fur will be digested. So, you gotta be careful! Plus, opting for toxic-free cleaning products isn’t just good for your cat; it is good for you and the environment.

Anyway, here are my top picks of cat-safe cleaning products I swear by:

We've been getting a ton of questions about Happy Head and Nutrafol and honestly, it's a pretty fair fight.

Both these brands focus on tackling hair loss but they go about it in different ways. If you want to weigh the power of the prescription against that of plant-based wellness then we'll share what we've learned from our research, as well as from talking to folks in the trenches.

How they work:

Happy Head is all about prescribing dermatologist created formulas to stimulate hair growth. Treatments are usually composed of combinations of FDA-approved ingredients, including finasteride, minoxidil, and dutasteride. All solutions are based on your medical history. After signing up, use
