How could you leave me…

How could you leave me,
When love isn’t just cuddles and soft whispers,
But storms weathered hand in hand,
Commitment,
not just the promise,
but the practice,
The art of staying when it’s hard,
Of choosing each other through the ache,
Again, and again, and again.

It’s pushing through the silence,
Through slammed doors and swollen pride,
It’s the kind of love that fights for air
When it feels like it’s drowning.
You don’t abandon ship,
Because the sea got rough,
You row harder.

We were supposed to break together,
Rebuild together.
To push each other,
Not push away.
To challenge, not run.
To evolve, not escape.

You said forever,
But bailed when it got hard.
I was building our future,
You were searching for the nearest exit.
And that’s what wrecks me,
You didn’t just break my heart,
You abandoned it.

You left me holding the weight.
Of everything we could’ve been,
All the pieces,
The shards,
Of what we swore to protect.
I’m here bleeding on the floor of our love,
While you walked away clean,
Calling it growth,
When it’s really just quitting in disguise…
