“Mountain” formal? I have no idea what this means. Help?

I’m going to a wedding in Colorado in late September. I’m the plus one and don’t know the bride and groom and when I asked my boyfriend he wasn’t much help.

I googled but that wasn’t really very instructive either. Can anyone help with inspo?
