I suspect i have AS

I’m not asking for a diagnosis, i just wanted to find out other peoples experiences of dealing with this disease

It all started from food poisoning 6.5 months ago. (Camplyobactor). At the 4 months mark my knees, elbows and hands started randomly hurting. then fast forward to now, about 12 days ago i woke up and felt in such egony, all body parts were hurting, my heels, SI joints, buttocks, lowerback/tailbone, spine, neck stiffness.

As the days go on, it has calmed down but the mid section just above my shoulder blades, buttock pains and lower back are all on/off randomly throughout the day. I’m still able to get out of bed, stretch, bend down and be mobile and commute to work. So i guess i’m in the early stages of AS

I know i’m pretty much screwed, i just wanted to hear from other peoples experience on managing this or even if there is a way to get by.

My biggest fear is being left in a wheelchair or disabled. Apologies if this sounds over exaggerated, i have a family that depend on me. I have a blood test booked in x2 weeks, and then MRI in the next 1-2 months due to wait time. I dont know how much damage this is doing to me as the days go on, which is causing a stress and anxiety loop of whats going to happen going forward

TDLR I never had no prior back or SI issues before in my younger life, all started 4 months after food poisoning. It looks like the food poisoning was the trigger.
