Most comfortable and performant headphones for gaming & some music (max $1K)

I recently sold my Focal Celestee which I used for gaming as I found them a bit too heavy and pressing on my ears. I am now looking for another pair of headphones to replace them.

Comfort and precision in footsteps and such is key. Also for single player games perhaps just nice audio would be good. For music it needs to sound nice enough to not bother me, but I mainly listen to music in the background.

In terms of sound I like my Focal Utopia 2022 the most but I don't mind another sound signature if it suits my needs better.

I am using the iFi Zen Dac & Zen Can signature to drive the headphones for gaming.

I don't mind buying used, I'd say my budget is around $1000 USD max if its worth it (could get used HD800s for example)

Thanks!
