Can you own an 8 lb cat plus a 22+ lb cat together?

I have a 8 lb fully grown cat, she is just a naturally tiny framed girl. I’m looking to get her a friend. Assuming they like each other, would it be unwise to get a second cat who is much larger, like a 22+ lb Maine coon? Or would it be a non-issue?
