How are you vaccinating adults who don't have vaccine records
I've asked a few people irl and I've gotten so many different answers or just uncertainty about this so you can be my fourth opinion. This question is about childhood vaccines not the purely adult ones like shingles and pneumococcal.
I'm in California. For most (average risk) people who don't show anything on the California electric vaccine registry, how are we managing childhood vaccines that may be applicable for adults - MMR VZV polio and HBV.
Are we assuming that all have been received and just focusing on adult series? Blanket ordering vaccines for catch-up (considering age like <1957 for MMR, <60 years old for HBV etc)? Even polio?
My practice has been to offer them given the uncertainty and safety of vaccines. I wanted to double check what others do.
Again this is for average risk people. Thanks!
