Probably one of my proudest moments on the stream as Invoker

Come on, tornado-meatball-deafblast is the simpliest thing Invoker can do in teamfight. At least get refresher for double meatball-deafblast, that will put you on Grimorum level.
And lol @ radiant having zero reliable stuns and no real support. No wonders they clumped together against one of the best aoe nukers in the game.
If you don't need the refresher, you don't have to get it. I have rarely gotten one, but not because I can't do the combo. There's just plenty of other items you could get and other things you can invoke to maximize utility, and a second followup blast is not always optimal anyway. You could do an icewall after, and if you did get a refresher, double meteor is better paired with two icewalls and one blast.
Anyway, let up on this guy. Not everyone can do the combo (granted if you play invoker it is expected that you can), and it was well executed.
Running around when being silenced and EMP when OD is dead. It's pretty funny. And once you get Agha, you don't nado>meteor>blast anymore, you nado>meteor>emp>blast. invoking right after nado give enough time to fit it another spell to blast just as they land.

Fixed.
Exactly. There's plenty of time to EMP when everyone's moving at hex speed after icewall.
Agreed tornado and meteor were already invoked and ready as well all you did was hit qwer for the deafening blast. Also notice not a single bkb on any of the enemy carries scrub tier league.
Haters status: gonna hate
He didn't say it was a great play, just that he's proud.
not to take it away from you but this is what invoker is supposed to do. gj never the less!
AXE IS PLEASED
cool sheepstick bro
2 rax down, 16 to 30, they have a broodmother at all, no support
Not to be a cock, but this is... really, really easy. Nice aim and timing, but this is basically a normal play. Heres something really fun to pull off, but it'll take a TON of practice and cant be used in every single teamfight. It requires force staff, aghanims and refresher, level 4 invoke and at least 4 levels in quas.
Start off with spirits and tornado invoked, so that spirits will be the spell removed when you invoke your next. When the teamfight is imminent, summon the spirits and immediately invoke EMP. Position yourself around 600-700 units away from what will be your meteor landing point, and cast the tornado. as soon as the tornado has left your hands, invoke meteor but dont use it immediately if your wex level is higher than 3. Consider your level of quas and wex and what that means for the duration of your EMP and tornado spells carefully before attempting this. Your next spells after EMP are gonna be the meatball/deaf blast combo, you'll want to cast the meteor 0.5 seconds before the tornado will end (which again, depends on Q/W level) after which you will immediately reuse meteor/blast combo with a refresher. When you are done casting the second blast, force staff into the middle of them, and ice wall. If you timed and aimed your blasts right, your ice wall is gonna catch at least 2-3 people. The burning and freezing from meteor and ice wall will be sufficient to confuse most heroes to death.
Pull this combo off right and it'll give you an unquenchable invokerection
Got a video of a good example?
No, but i'll make one and upload it later if ya want
that would be so awesome !

Hope you find this useful, its just a demonstration of how to do it so its against bots, obviously you'll need good positioning to do it ingame. I didnt practice it beforehand much so the timings are a bit off, but with some practice I'm sure you can manage it better
My Invoker tutorial will teach you how to do that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzuLRGUvDUk
Hope it helps, everything is explained with the video in slow motion.
This is pretty much the standard Tornado-Meteor-Blast combo. You didnt even use your hex on anyone XD
I would recommend you youtube Grimorum. But I think Cook is probably the best invoker I have ever seen
5675 gold for nothing.
Good play though!

Not casting alacrity on tiny . . . . .
Oh man. Just the fact that you alacrity-ed yourself instead of the Tiny... cringe
Agreed.
Came here to write that.
