The shudder only occurs in the very first 20mm or so of moving the y-axis. I get none of this if I disable the steppers and move it myself. This is unfortunately causing my print to offset, because it thinks it has gone 20mm when it only shuddered about 5mm.

I'm on the verge of purchasing the DLC+SotFS, used to play this game a massive amount, and though PvP had its elations, there were some agonizing things with it. I was wondering if they'd since fixed things any.

  • Is the Monastery Scimitar still god-tier for parries?
  • Do you still get the same number of i-frames when playing 30 fps and 60 fps?
  • Do you still get those infuriating hit-confirm sounds when it turns out you didn't hit them? (Used to use the Greatsword, they'd backroll and I'd blatantly hit them with sound and everything, no damage or flinch)

I did see that they added a ring that allows you to fix soul memory, though, so that looks absolutely fantastic.

When two teams in a tournament play each other, oftentimes the team closest to the server gets an advantage due to decreased latency. Now, within Dota 2, there is the command:

net_fakelag "0" // Lag all incoming network data (including loopback) by this many milliseconds.

Why is this command not used in tournaments so that the latency is equalized on both sides? As far as I can recall, the teams that had worse latency were just forced to deal with it. Why do we do that, when we can simulate lag with either a command, or software like dummynet? A friend of mine asked the question, and honestly I had no good response.

So I played this game religiously during the alpha and beta, and always had to turn the graphics down to medium. If it was any higher, I would get at the most, 0.5 frames per second starting with the dropship jump. Has anyone experienced that issue? If so, did they finally fix that?

I love my PC as-is, but it's starting to show its age. I'd like to be picking up 60 FPS on max settings in games like Warframe, Titanfall, and Diablo 3, but the current build just isn't cutting it. I was wondering what sort of recommendations this sub had for meeting that goal---since I don't want to just end up getting something that I think is better, without actually seeing improvement in my games.

Hi, r/techsupport! I have a PC I'm attempting to troubleshoot, and as of late it's begun blue-screening immediately upon trying to boot into Windows XP. Trying to install a fresh copy of XP doesn't work, as after the first restart after the initial install, it blue screens.

I have tried completely different CDs and hard drives, and get the same problem.

In addition, I have tested the memory, and all of it is fine.

I have a gut feeling that either the motherboard or CPU are going bad, but have no idea which of the two it might be. Do you guys have any suggestion as to how I might test for it, or what the problem could be? Thanks!

Hey r/buildapc, I've run into some bad luck with my graphics card, and am afraid I'll need to replace it. I've been looking at the GTX 650 TI Boost, as well as the GTX 760, but wanted to know what the experts here thought---as I don't want to be rushing into this.

Here is my current rig (sans the disk drives):

I am currently using the 64-bit version of Windows Home Premium, and have been doing so happily for quite some time. However, today, my screen began flickering, and my NVIDIA graphics driver kept saying that the kernel had stopped, then recovered.

Eventually, it flickered off, then never turned on again until I restarted the computer, whereupon it booted into the aforementioned BSOD in the title.

What's going on? Is my graphics card crapping out? I can still boot my computer in Safe Mode, but no combination of uninstalling and reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers seems to do anything.

EDIT: If I uninstall the NVIDIA Graphics Driver completely, I can boot into Windows. Currently, I'm trying to
