Drove my car into shop for a quote, 3 weeks later have more issues than when I brought it in

I brought my car into a shop 3 weeks ago for a new ac. They just got back with me yesterday with a $6800 quote. I decided to take it elsewhere. Said I cannot drive the car home because the radiator fan blew a fuse and now I need a new fan $1800. Funny thing, i just put a new one in 6 months who. Couldn’t explain why I need a new fan even though it was a fuse blown. Now I am afraid to drive it home and worried they are not putting it back together correctly because I’m refusing their services and they seemed very angry. Said they need 3 hours to put the car back together.
